Don't cut ocs budget

To the editor: In 2012, a workload study, commissioned by the current governor, recommended an increase in support staff for the Office of Children’s Services. This department, already underfunded to achieve its goal of protecting children from abuse and neglect, is set to receive serious budget cuts this year.

How can it be that those we’ve elected can turn away from such information? How can they say “these are the tough choices” we have to make?

The governor and our elected officials have an independent workload study recommending a feasible solution to protect our most vulnerable population, our children, from abuse and neglect. I wonder what they will say when more stories of abused children end up in the news.
Tough choices should not include gambling with the lives of children. “Choosing Respect” is more than words. Actions demonstrate respect. Our children deserve protection from violence, abuse and neglect. Voting to cut child protection is not choosing respect.

So... respect for whom?

The budget needs to be cut. Many, many positions need to be eliminated. CPS needs to be eliminated. It can then be rebuilt into FPS. "Family Protection Services" of which it is currently not. FPS can then hire individuals who have respect for families. Not those who concern themselves with the bottom dollar and where they get new inventory.

Terrorism and 911

As we sat back and watched the remembrance of 911 on television, we remembered where we were and what we were doing at that time. We were in bed. I woke to go to the bathroom. Since I was awake, I decided to work on my computer a while.
The television in our bedroom was still on when the reports came in that one of the towers had been hit. I woke my wife and we watched in horror as the events unfolded.
How could that happen in our country? Where were the air force and others who could have and should have prevented at least the second hit? We also watched in horror as the buildings fell into neat little piles of seemingly organized useless rubble. Trapping and killing all those innocents.
Today as I read the articles in the Daily News Miner, I see that the threat for terrorism is still alive. I believe it is worse now than before. After all, isn't that what terrorism is? The fear of it all? The terrorists know they can't and won't be stopped.
In comparison, I believe terrorism is much more wide spread than most think. They all do it in the name of some God or another. For some, God is a being they worship.
For others, God is money. All it would take to prove it is "undeniable proof". Such as the terrorizing of children for no other reason than money. In our mind, we have NO doubt as we watch it unfold and destroy our family.

We know who the players are. Although they turn a blind eye and ear to it, so does everyone else. Be it for political, judicial or fear of reprisal, it is still for money.
I have researched cases where OCS should have done something, but didn't until the children where drugged into brain damage. Another case where CPS took 39 reports of child abuse for the same parents before they stepped in.
In our case, in our belief, OCS took our grand children because they were an easy target and they had an order to fill. And because most everyone, including the courts, think OCS sits at the right hand of God, nothing is done as they claim they are working in "official office capacity". They can lie, steal, slander, liable and kidnap.They are immune in State courts. They operate through fear and intimidation (bullying). There must be a Federal Offense against bullying, slander, Liable and kidnapping that they are NOT immune to. I plan to search for just that.

Many grammar books and legal publications identify permissible methods for displaying proper nouns (names), one of which is the U.S. Government style manual, A

Manual of Style (2000). Chapter 17, “Courtwork.” Spells out with examples acceptable ways for presenting names, 52 variations in all, and never once recommends an all-caps name format in court paperwork. Without exception the names of plaintiffs and defendants etc. are in all-capital letter format. Since there is no legal authority requiring that proper nouns/names be set in capital letters why is the practice permitted, enforced?

Let’s take look at a landmark court case:

Supreme Court case of 1795, Penhallow v. Doane’s Administrators (3 U.S. 54; 1 L.Ed. 57; 3 Dall. 54), defines governments: “governments are corporations.” Inasmuch every government is an artificial person, an abstraction, and a creature of the mind only, a government can interface only with other artificial persons.

Then we get into the birth certificate and why we have one... why kids are treated like hamsters and traded like commodities.
